Apple has asked US Supreme Court to review a contempt ruling in its long-running legal battle with Epic Games over App Store payment rules. Apple was charged with civil contempt in 2025 for violating a 2021 injunction by imposing a 27% commission on purchases through payment systems outside App Store. Epic had challenged Apple's restrictions on external payments in 2020.
