An investigation by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) has found that Amazon and Flipkart violated the country's competition laws, Reuters reported. Both platforms allowed preferred sellers to appear higher in search results while "ordinary sellers remained as mere database entries", CCI found. The probe was launched in 2020 and could lead to potential fines for the companies.
