Who will benefit from Punjab govt's proposed hike in DA to 60%?

Around 85,000 government employees recruited after July 17, 2020, will benefit from Punjab government's proposed hike in dearness allowance (DA) from 42% to 60%. Beneficiaries include teachers, constables, clerks, nurses, health workers, medical officers, patwaris and junior engineers. Their basic pay follows Central government's 7th Pay Commission matrix, but DA is linked to Punjab's lower rate.
