RR's 15-year-old opener Vaibhav Sooryavanshi smashed 96(47) against GT in IPL 2026 Qualifier 2 on Friday. He became the fastest batter to score 1,000 IPL runs, taking 440 balls. He set the record for most runs in powerplay in an IPL edition (521 in IPL 2026). He also became youngest batter to score 700 runs in a single IPL season.
