HC issues notice to Google India over locked Gmail accounts

The Punjab and Haryana High Court has issued notice to Google India after a 19-year-old engineering student lost access to three Gmail accounts when his phone — the sole two-step verification device — was stolen. Google allegedly ignored a Grievance Appellate Committee order to aid data recovery. The next hearing is set for November 20.
