Refuting multiple media reports, Forest Survey of India (FSI) clarified that it has not conducted any study saying that merely 9% of the Aravalli Range qualifies as hills above 100 metres. "FSI categorically refutes claims that it carried out any study showing that 90% of the hills in Aravalli would be left unprotected following the recent SC judgement," it added.
