Ukraine has said that there was no point in negotiating with Russia until the Russian forces were pushed back as far as possible. This comes after French President Emmanuel Macron's call not to "humiliate" Russia for the sake of diplomacy. Earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy had said that the Russian forces occupied about 20% of Ukraine's territory.
