The family of a 31-year-old man who died in a road accident in 2018 has been awarded compensation of over ₹12 lakh. The Motor Accidents Claims Tribunal in Thane asked the owner of the offending dumper truck and the vehicle's insurer to pay the compensation. The victim was riding pillion on a motorcycle with a friend when the accident occurred.
