Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq praised Prime Minister Narendra Modi and pitched for a dialogue with Pakistan. Mirwaiz said PM Modi is now among the longest-serving leaders in independent India, adding that dialogue and diplomacy "remain the most reliable instruments for resolving issues and securing a better future". He also highlighted the peace efforts of former PM Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
