India has told the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) that it's closely monitoring the situation in Afghanistan. The "two sides (India & Afghanistan) discussed various issues pertaining to bilateral relations" at a meeting held in Dubai in January, Parvathaneni Harish, India’s Permanent Representative to the UN, said. Both countries share a special people-to-people relationship, Harish added.
