UPI is India's only major tech success, ruining it is political suicide: Ashneer on MDR

Reacting to the 0.4% MDR on person-to-merchant payments worth over ₹2,000, Ashneer Grover said, "In technology, India is known for one thing in the world, and that is UPI. Nothing else in the last 14 years." He added, "If they (government) want to ruin this too, then it’s political suicide." Any levy on UPI is just tax collection, he said.
