Benchmark index Sensex tanked over 1,800 points to close at 72,696.39 on Monday, while Nifty dipped more than 2% to end at 22,512.65. The dip comes amid the ongoing tensions in the Middle East, foreign outflows and the rupee nearing the 94 mark against the US dollar. Both indices have dipped by over 14% so far this year.
