Weightlifter Harjinder Kaur, who won silver in women's 69kg at Commonwealth Games 2026, was born into a farming family in Punjab's Nabha in 1996. She competed in tug-of-war in college before switching to weightlifting. Harjinder won bronze in 71kg category at Commonwealth Games 2022. She also won bronze at Commonwealth Weightlifting Championships 2025 and Asian Weightlifting Championships 2026.
