Nepal to deploy 3,500 police for Kathmandu festival security

Nepal will deploy around 3,500 police personnel across Kathmandu Valley during Vijaya Dashami, Deepawali, and Chhath festivals. Officers in uniform and plain clothes will cover 22 duty types. Surveillance includes sniffer dogs and CCTV. A 13-point safety advisory warns against drunk driving, gambling, fake websites, and leaving valuables unattended at home.
