57 new marine species discovered, one shares name with Marvel character

Scientists have discovered 57 new marine species in Atlantic Ocean during a large-scale research project off Argentina’s coast. One key discovery was a new sea cucumber species, 'Loki the Sea Cucumber', which was found 8,454 feet deep. It has horns resembling those of 'Norse god Loki', who inspired a Marvel character. The specimens were collected during an expedition in 2025.
