Actor Manoj Bajpayee said late filmmaker Yash Chopra was "adamant" about casting him in 'Veer-Zaara'. He recalled that Chopra was "mesmerised" after watching his film 'Pinjar', for which he won a National Award. "Yash ji used to say, 'Son...I don't know when I'll work with you. I don't make films for actors like you," Manoj told Siddharth Kannan.
