Woman gives birth to biologically unrelated twins in Australia

A 27-year-old Australian surrogate gave birth to biologically unrelated twins after becoming pregnant naturally while carrying another couple's IVF embryo. DNA tests showed the boy was biologically hers and her husband’s, while the girl was genetically the intended couple's daughter. A Queensland court ruled they are not "birth siblings" under surrogacy law.
