US Congressman criticises proposed Indian FCRA amendments, says it can hurt India-US ties
US Congressman Riley Moore criticised the proposed Foreign Contribution (Regulation) Amendment Bill, saying it can hurt India-US bilateral ties. Calling it "an attack against Christians", Moore claimed it risks government takeovers of religious charities after FCRA registrations end. Notably, the bill proposes restrictions on proselytisation to curb use of foreign contributions for conversions.
