Around six Nihang Sikhs climbed onto the roof of a gurdwara in Uttarakhand's Rudraprayag district and were protesting there for three days. They were demanding the release of four members of the sect who were arrested following a clash with locals in the state's Chamoli district on June 16. Police said the protesting Nihangs were carrying swords, spears and axes.
