Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels have announced a maritime blockade against Saudi Arabia in what they called an "eye for an eye" move. The blockade would hit the Bab el-Mandeb Strait, one of the world's largest oil chokepoints, which may affect oil supply to India. Consequently, the blockade risks pushing oil prices higher, along with prices of everyday commodities for Indians.
