Sensex falls by over 1,733 points in a single week, Nifty dips 2%

Sensex closed at 74,781.76 on Friday after tanking over 1,733 points, or around 2.2%, during the week. Meanwhile, Nifty 50 ended at 23,398.10, nearly 500 points or 2.09% below previous Friday's close. The steepest single-day decline was recorded on Wednesday amid rising crude oil prices due to escalating conflict in the Middle East and the Indian rupee's falling value.
