Benchmark index Sensex dipped by around 600 points to hit 83,542 intraday on Friday, recording a fall of more than 2,000 points over the past five days. Nifty also fell by 0.7% to slip below 25,700. The decline comes amid the delay in the India-US trade deal, fresh tariff threats by US President Donald Trump and geopolitical tensions.
