Foreign secretary Vikram Misri on Wednesday met the Taliban's acting foreign minister Amir Khan Muttaqi in Dubai, for the first time since the group came to power in 2021. During the talks held between the two sides, India pledged to provide support to Afghanistan for the health sector and for rehabilitating refugees. Notably, India doesn't formally recognise the Taliban government.
