Poland to recognise same-sex marriages from EU states

Poland's top court ordered local authorities to recognise same-sex marriages performed in other EU states. Poland defines marriage as "union of a man and a woman", hence same-sex marriages are illegal there. The European Court of Justice ruled last year that Poland violated EU law by refusing to recognise marriage of two Polish nationals who registered it in Germany.
