Aaron Ford elected Nevada's first Black governor

Nevada Attorney General Aaron Ford defeated Republican incumbent Joe Lombardo to become the state's first Black governor, per an AP projection. Ford's win ends Republican control of the governor's office and could hand Democrats unified control of Nevada's state government. He campaigned on housing affordability, cost of living, education, and healthcare.
