Scientist killed in fight was doing groundbreaking silver nanoparticle research

Abhishek Swarnkar, the 39-year-old IISER Mohali scientist who was killed by his neighbour over a parking issue, was involved in "groundbreaking" research work, his co-workers said. His work on silver nanoparticles had the "potential to revolutionise renewable energy", they told The Indian Express. Swarnkar, who recently underwent kidney transplant, died after being punched by the accused Monty.
