Maharashtra State Road Transport Corporation (MSRTC) has increased bus fares by 13.56% from Friday midnight, officials said. They added that the decision was taken due to rising fuel prices, operational costs, and increased employee allowances. The corporation has also withdrawn the existing 10% seasonal surcharge on ordinary buses, which had been extended until the end of July.
