Electricity bills for consumers under the Bangalore Electricity Supply Company Limited (BESCOM) will increase from May 1 and will be applicable till April 30, 2027. Consumers will have to pay an additional 56 paise per unit of electricity consumed in 2024-25. This comes after Karnataka Electricity Regulatory Commission allowed BESCOM to recover a revenue deficit of ₹2,068 crore from consumers.
