The United States witnessed an increase of 1.78 lakh in the total nonfarm payroll employment in March, showing a resilient labour market amid the ongoing war in the Middle East, as per US Bureau of Labour Statistics. The unemployment rate also fell to 4.3% from 4.4% last month. The gains were concentrated in health care, construction, transportation and warehousing sections.
