The Mumbai Metropolitan Region Development Authority launched a 15-point austerity campaign asking employees to use public transport, adopt carpooling and cut electricity and paper usage. The circular, effective from Monday, applies to around 1,300 staff members. The move follows global energy concerns linked to the West Asia conflict and PM Narendra Modi's appeal for austerity measures.
