A suspected operative of terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), Hamid Mondal, was arrested by West Bengal Police's Special Task Force in Purba Bardhaman. Police said Hamid is a close associate of Sajjad Bhat, one of the alleged masterminds of 2019 Pulwama terror attack. Material recovered from his mobile phone suggested he was collecting information on Bengal CM Suvendu Adhikari, police added.
