Two Chinese citizens in the US have been sentenced to more than four years in jail after they defrauded Apple, causing a loss of $2.5 million (₹21 crore). They tricked Apple by submitting thousands of counterfeit iPhones for replacement, exploiting the company's one-year warranty scheme. The fake iPhones would be imported from Hong Kong with spoofed serial or IMEI numbers.
