US Marines conduct combat readiness drills in Arabian Sea

US Marines with the 11th Marine Expeditionary Unit conducted combat readiness training aboard the USS Portland in the Arabian Sea. The drills included flight deck operations, medical evacuation procedures and maintenance of specialised equipment. They were conducted as part of routine efforts to ensure Marines can operate effectively in demanding maritime environments and respond rapidly.
