After KKR acquired Sri Lanka pacer Matheesha Pathirana for ₹18 crore, former India captain Kris Srikkanth said Pathirana is a "hit-and-miss bowler" and "huge risk". He praised KKR for buying Mustafizur Rahman, noting that Mustafizur can be a backup for Pathirana. "I was surprised at Pathirana's price and the number of teams that went for him," Srikkanth added.
