Nepal flood death toll crosses 1,200

The death toll from Nepal’s devastating flash floods rose to 1,243 on Wednesday, with over 4,800 people still missing. PM Balendra Shah said the August 26 floods could not have been anticipated, calling Nepal a victim of global warming and emissions from industrialised countries.
