Mutual fund SIPs hit record ₹32,490 cr in Sept despite low returns

Monthly SIP investments in mutual funds hit a record ₹32,490 crore in September 2026, rising from ₹32,297 crore in August, AMFI data showed. Equity mutual fund inflows jumped 30.6% to ₹38,307 crore, despite a challenging geopolitical environment and muted equity market returns. Small-cap, mid-cap and flexi-cap funds also recorded higher inflows during the month.
