A fake notice claiming to be issued by the I-T Department is circulating online, asking recipients to pay ₹6,000 as part of the tax payable amount. The PIB warned that the notice is a phishing attempt and said the department doesn't issue such notices. It urged people to beware of misleading content and rely only on official sources for verification.
