The government has hiked passport application fees from July 1 and released a list showing a rise in prices. The fee for a fresh passport with 36 pages for those aged above 18 and minors aged 15-18 is now ₹2,500. In the Tatkal category, this fee has been fixed as ₹5,000. The fee for a normal passport earlier was ₹1,500.
