Can you justify this loot? SC to govt as hospital sells ₹11,000 chemo injection for ₹1.3 lakh

The Supreme Court has questioned the Centre over the disparity between medicine procurement costs and hospital charges while hearing a petition seeking tighter price controls. The court recalled an incident in which a hospital charged ₹1.3 lakh for a chemotherapy injection that a medical distributor could procure for ₹11,000. “Can you show any justification for this loot?” the court asked.
