President Droupadi Murmu on Friday nominated Rajya Sabha's former Deputy Chairman, Harivansh Narayan Singh, as Rajya Sabha MP. PM Narendra Modi congratulated him by saying, "He has enriched the proceedings of the House over the past few years...best wishes to him for upcoming parliamentary term." Singh was nominated after a vacancy was created following ex-CJI Ranjan Gogoi's retirement.
