SBI opens first Texas branch, expands beyond California

State Bank of India inaugurated a new SBIC Bank branch in Frisco, North Dallas, Texas — its first outside California — taking its US subsidiary count to eight. SBI Chairman Challa Sreenivasulu Setty inaugurated the branch, which will offer retail deposits, commercial lending, remittances, and NRI services. SBI now has 245 overseas points of presence across 29 countries.
