Foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold heavily in financial services stocks in first half of March, selling over ₹31,000 crore compared with purchases of ₹8,400 crore in February, Moneycontrol reported, citing NSDL data. The outflows were driven by geopolitical risks, rising oil prices impacting rupee and regulatory tightening. Overall, net FII selling stood at ₹53,700 crore in same period.
