Sleep expert shares how to sleep better while working night shifts

Sleep expert Robon Vanek advised prioritising 7-9 nine hours of sleep during day while working night shifts. She suggested keeping bedroom dark, cool and quiet for sleep and using white noise to block noise disruptions. She further suggested minimising light exposure during second half of work and after work. Cutting back on caffeine and strategic napping were some other suggestions.
