The All Indian Cine Workers Association (AICWA) penned a letter to PM Narendra Modi, urging protection after 70% of the industry's workers lost their jobs due to Covid-19. Highlighting global economic and political concerns, AICWA pointed out that India's world-class locations must be prioritised over "unnecessary foreign shoots". The letter also requested new policies and dedicated welfare funds.
