A 3.4-magnitude earthquake hit Southern California's Inland Empire near Ontario at 5:37 am Wednesday, with its epicenter 3.7 miles southeast of the city at a depth of 4 miles. Tremors were felt across Riverside, San Bernardino, Irvine, and Anaheim. The USGS received 226 felt reports, mostly indicating light shaking. No damage was reported.
