British runner Josh Kerr has broken the world record for the fastest one-mile run at the Diamond League in London. The 28-year-old recorded a time of 3:42.66, breaking Morocco's Hicham El Guerrouj's record of 3:43.13, which he set in Rome in 1999, by half a second. Kerr was a silver medallist in the 1,500 metres at the 2024 Paris Olympics.
