The MoU signed between US and Iran says US and regional partners will develop a plan with at least $300 billion for Iran’s reconstruction. But according to a Reuters report, the fund is being planned as a privately financed investment vehicle rather than a conventional aid package. Over half of the proposed amount has already been pledged by private-sector participants.
