A 49-year-old Brazilian man sold all his belongings and travelled over 1,900 km to meet a woman he believed he'd marry, but discovered she was an AI-generated character. The man said he initially came across the AI-generated character's social media account in 2020. He said she invited men to move in with her and promised to support them financially.
