Following WhatsApp, Telegram has responded to the IT Ministry's notice on its username feature, with both submissions now under government review, PTI reported. The ministry has raised concerns that usernames, which let users chat without sharing phone numbers, could increase fraud, phishing and impersonation. It has also sought similar clarifications from Signal.
