AAP leader Somnath Bharti lost to BJP's Satish Upadhyay from Malviya Nagar in 2025 Delhi Assembly polls. Satish secured 39,564 votes while Bharti got 37,433 votes. Congress leader Jitender Kumar came at the third position with 6,770 votes. Notably, Bharti had won the election from the seat in 2013, 2015 and 2020 Delhi polls.
